Features and Improvements
In this release we're introducing a centralized authentication platform, based on the popular RedHat Keycloak solution. This unifies identity access management for the ysura products - so CRM and yRoom users can share the same credentials in a seamless workflow. Integration into common enterprise SSO-platforms via SAML and OIDC is then possible by pure configuration. State of the art security mechanisms like highly flexible password policies, two-factor authentication (2FA) and support for WebAuthn are available for non-SSO customers.
For customers that were using local authentication previously, we can now offer to integrate with other platforms that might already be in use at the customer's organization - eg. Microsoft's 365 platform - so logins can be shared, too.
Existing customers will find their user accounts transferred automatically upon release, due to security reasons we cannot migrate the passwords - users will have to set a new password, unless they're part of an existing SSO integration.
Comments overview on person & org core view
We have supported comments on activity level in a highly configurable way for a long time. Now we introduce a consolidated view of all related comments on both person and organization core view. The new panel is built upon the permission framework, so in addition to existing configurations on the activity comment level, access can be restricted further if necessary.
For each item we show organizer, date, activity type, content preview (up to 250 characters) and comment type. The full comment can be retrieved by clicking on the list item.
My Order List
This view contains a search bar to search for:
- Organization (Name, Street, Zip, City)
- Order ID
- Customer reference order ID
Facet can be used to filter for:
- Date Range
- Order Type
- Price List
- Order Source
- Organization Type
- Creator / Territory
List Item showing following informations:
- Street, Zip, City
- Order Type - State
User specific attributes
Attributes have been a powerful first-class element to store values for persons and organizations in the CRM system. With this release we expand the capabilities of attributes further by allowing to store distinct values for each user on the same attribute. In this way, attributes become even more helpful and new ways of working more efficiently even with large numbers of attributes are available.
User specific attributes are limited to person and organization attributes and can not be reverted to a general purpose attribute after creation.
Please note that potentially some adjustments need to be done for:
- Personalized emails (placeholders)
- Media (placeholders)
Existing export interfaces will get adapted on a per customer basis to include information about user specific attributes.
Self Service Data Import Portal
A Self Service Portal for importing data into the CRM is currently undergoing intensive internal testing. This will not be accessible for public consumption in this release yet, still we wanted to share the good news already now.
- User can upload a file with data to import
- System validates the uploaded import data file and gives the user feedback if the file contains errors
- User can track the progress of the running import
- When the import is completed the user gets an summary of the imported data
- User can reset certain data in the system to do a "fresh" import
The following functionality will be removed with this release.
Attribute assignments in territory management
The admin can no longer assign attributes via territory management. We removed this option because it was not reflecting the new advanced assignment settings introduced in 2020.4.
