Calendar Admin Screen
There will be a new area in the administration menu called "Calendar Management” featuring the following setting options:
- Automatic creation of activity
This determines whether the blue fly-in will appear when creating planned activities in the calendar. If the option is selected, then planned activities will be created immediately.
- Team visibility
This determines which users are part of a team (that can see each other’s calendars) via the organizational hierarchy. The admin can select "same level", "n levels below" and "n levels above".
There are two new options in the user settings page:
- Calendar and Activity configuration
Here the user can share his calendar with additional users for the team view. That way users can see each other's calendar although they are in totally separate branches of the organizational hierarchy.
- Activity configuration
Here the user can define the working hours. This will influence activities that are created when the user doesn't specify a time, e.g. when an activity is created in the calendar month view or if the activity type changes. In this case the system takes the configured working hour start time. If the user doesn't set values, the system will take the default working hours defined by the administrator.
Additionally the user can define the default activity type that should be used when first creating a new activity. This can be done separately for person and organisation activities.
Calendar navigation: close preview on click
Right now the preview in the calendar (and all slide-ins) can only be closed by clicking on the "x".
Now the user can tap anywhere outside of the preview to close it (exception: clicks on other elements like buttons or appointments).
Enable rescheduling via Drag & Drop
Once an activity is planned there is now way to reschedule it except to edit the activity.
User are now able to reschedule planned activities that are not sealed and take place in the future.
Object assignments with inheritance settings and person assignment types
For object assignments like media, templates, activity types and attributes the admin can now configure advanced inheritance and person assignment types and make inheritance configurable.
That way the admin can e.g. configure that a media is only available to a certain person assignment type. This makes sense if these user roles are not strictly separated in the organizational hierarchy, eg. a team consists of multiple roles that share a territory. This previously made it very time consuming to assign objects to certain types of users.
The person assignment type is working in conjunction with the organizational hierarchy and connected with a logical OR. At least one of the selections needs to be made in order for the object to be visible in the system.
It is also possible to break up inheritance.
This feature is currently available for media and will be followed by others like templates, activity types and attributes.
Implementing a new connector by using a configuration file that can be uploaded with specific parameters regarding the customer environment.
Video window now adjust dynamically with the scale of the browser window.
New Feature - Object Assignments:
At the moment when you configure an exception the UI is not updated on the children and therefore not displayed. Once you save the assignments and re-open it the correct inheritance is displayed
Otherwise there are no known issues prior to go live.
